Summer 2005 Newsletter : UK Branch Annual GeneralMeeting
The Branch 39th AGM was held on 6th April during the Annual Meeting at the University of York. Copies of the Minutes will be sent to all members together with the Agenda for next year's AGM. Reports and accounts for 2004 have already been distributed.
Mr Andrew Ball was elected unopposed to serve on Council for a further period of four years and Dr Victoria Sandilands and Mr Stephen Lister were both elected unopposed to join Council.
Retiring as elected members of Council this year were Ms Lorna Craig, who has recently moved to New Zealand and Dr Paul Rose, who has served for eight years but will continue on Council in his capacity as Chairman of the Programme Committee. Mr Richard Hunter will shortly relinquish his post as UK Branch Webmaster when he leaves Roslin Institute. The President warmly thanked all of these for their service to the Branch.
