Membership matters

Subscriptions were due on 1 January and, in spite of renewal notices and reminders, some members have still not renewed their membership. Please take pity on the poor Secretary, and on the Branch resources, and pay now if you have not yet done so. The use of more Banker’s Standing Orders would make life simpler for all parties!

Free CD-ROMs

WPSA President, Dr Peter Hunton, very kindly offered the Branch a small number of free CD-ROMS of the Proceedings of the XXI World’s Poultry Congress with the suggestion that these be given to recent new members. This offer was accepted and ten of these were sent to members who joined the Branch between the last AGM and the end of November. Who said there is no such thing as a free lunch?

World's Poultry Science Journal

In the last Newsletter, the Secretary offered a few copies of the Journal which had been given to him by a retiring member. These have now found a suitable new home. There are now a further 98 copies available for the cost of postage (which might be considerable!):

Vol 19 (Jan 1963) - Vol 36 (Nov 1980) [except Vol 21 No 4, Vol 25 No 4, Vol 26 Nos 2&3, Vol 33 Nos 1,2&3]
Vol 47 No 2 (July 1991) - Vol 57 No 3 (Sept 2001)

Please contact the Secretary, John Parsons, by email if you would like any or all of these.

Also, for his own collection, the Secretary would like to acquire all WPS Journals up to and including Vol 17 (1961).
