Scientific Programme
We are assembling an exciting scientific programme for the 17th ESPN. The format for the Symposium will mainly follow the traditional combination of plenary lectures, discussion of these lectures by the delegates in small groups followed by a plenary discussion with the speakers addressing the issues raised within the groups.
There will be five such sessions, dealing with subjects that are of strong scientific, industrial and topical interest. These subjects are phosphorus nutrition, litter quality, feed additives, environmental issues and breeder nutrition.
In a departure from tradition, the final session will be devoted to individual talks giving a forward look into the future prospects for nutrition. A strong cast of expert speakers will cover the wide range of issues involved in each session, ranging from theoretical and scientific issues involved through to the practical nutritional approaches needed under commercial situations. Wider global issues and regulatory constraints will also be covered where relevant.
As always, the Symposium will include a display of contributed posters, some of which will be highlighted by the authors in short communication sessions.
