World Poultry Congresses
The congresses are held every fourth year and are major events of international poultry science. Usually combined with a trade exhibition, each congress is largely concerned with reviews of scientific information and the discussion of ideas. Social events and personal contacts have made recent Congresses truly memorable occasions.
Recent venues have been:
- 1988 - Nagoya, Japan
- 1992 - Amsterdam, Netherlands
- 1996 - New Delhi, India
- 2000 - Montreal, Canada
- 2004 - Istanbul, Turkey
The XXIII World's Poultry Congress will be in Brisbane, Australia on 29 June to 4 July 2008, followed by Salvador, Brazil in 2012.
